Experiential Learning and Development

Problem Statement: Company “X” is a large multinational pharmaceutical company. The company recently conducted a survey to profile their marketers’ background, experience, and skill level within its largest U.S. business unit. The majority of marketers and their supervisors rated most competencies as requiring more development—but the greatest need was on insights.

Goal Statement: Develop an Insights based education curriculum and learning modules for sustainability and development of marketers for the long term.

MSP Approach and Deliverables:

1) Worked with senior leadership team to align on a common definition for the term “insights” for the organization since everyone had their own interpretation.

2) Introduced framework and tools for how to discover, synthesize, and activate an insight.

3) Designed a foundational insights education curriculum comprised of three one day modules using adult learning principles.

Results: The organization has a common view of how to synthesize and activate an insight. Feedback from the education program was overwhelmingly positive with 93% indicating they would recommend to their peers.
